Prayer is a communication process that allows us to talk to God! He wants us to communicate with Him every day, like you would if you were in heaven; one-on-one communication with your Heavenly Father. How do I pray? It's really simple and never complicated. Start to talk with God, Jesus, or the Holy Spirit like your very best friend. Share your intimate thoughts and ideas with Him. Why should I pray? Praying is the key to an open and honest communication with God. If you love the Lord, you will want to talk with Him. I know you will never go days without telling your loved ones, you love them. Well God is no different. Do I have to kneel to pray? No, not really, but it is a tradition that has been practiced for centuries. We kneel before Kings, so why not God Almighty? It's only a symbol of humbleness, respect, and honor. You acknowledge who He is in your own life. Kneeling is the appropriate position to come before the King of kings. What is the significance of praying "In Jesus Name"? Praying in the name of Jesus is not just a magical incantation that is tacked on to the end of prayers. People end their prayers with "in the name of Jesus" without understanding all that it entails. These three little words are our right standing access point before God. To enter the throne room boldly, you must believe that in Jesus Christ our prayers are heard. By Shelena www.prayser.com |
